Sounomiagataniimasu-jinja Shrine
A shrine enshrined in Miagata, an area under the direct control of the Imperial Court, in Sou County. Its origins can be traced back to ancient times, and its enshrined deity is Nagasunehiko, the head of the powerful clan around Tomio, where the first Emperor Jimmu later fought. The current main shrine was built approximately 640 years ago, in the 3rd year of Eitoku (1383) at the end of the Nanbokucho period, and is designated as a national important cultural property.
