Ryozan-ji Temple
At Emperor Shomu's imperial request, Gyoki built the main hall. Because the topography of Mt. Tomi resembles Mt. Ryojusen, in 736 the Baramon priest Bodhisena proposed the name of the temple as Ryosenji, and the Shingon sect was established. temple. Within the spacious grounds, there are ancient buildings such as the main hall (national treasure) from the Kamakura period, the three-storied pagoda (important cultural property), and the bell tower (important cultural property) from the Muromachi period, as well as the golden hall, which was completed in 1961, where Benzaiten was enshrined, and the Shirogane-den hall, which are ancient buildings. You can enjoy both modern and contemporary art culture. There is also a modern Western-style rose garden with 200 varieties and 2,000 rose bushes, as well as Jigoku Cave and Yakushi Yudono, which is the origin of its construction.
