Tsugemikumari-jinja Shrine
(Nationally designated important cultural property) This is an old shrine with a long history and is mentioned in the Engishiki Shinmeichō, Buntoku Jirroku, and Sandai Jirroku. When it was first built, it was located at Tsuge Yamaguchi Shrine (Koyamado), but it was moved to its current location in Tenroku 2 (971). The current main hall was built in 1499, during the middle of the Muromachi period, and has a Kasuga-zukuri cypress bark roof.

Access & Bus Stop | [By car] Get off at the Hari Interchange on the Meihan National Highway (National Route 25) and go south on National Route 369 [By Train/Bus] From JR/Kintetsu Haibara Station, take the bus bound for the Hari Interchange (23 minutes) and get off at "Namimatsu", then walk 10 minutes. |
