Emperor Konin Mausoleum (Tawara higashi no misasagi)

It is a beautiful circular forest that has been called ``Royal Tomb'' or ``Ounotsuka'' since ancient times, and is the mausoleum of Emperor Konin, the last emperor of the Nara period. The year after his death, he was buried in the Hirookayama Mausoleum, but five years later he was reburied at his current location.
