Mausoleum of Emperor Kasuganomiya (Tawara Nishiryo)

This is the tomb of Imperial Prince Shiki, father of Emperor Konin, who is known as the poet of Manyoshu. Emperor Konin, who ascended the throne at the age of 62, enshrined his father as Emperor Kasuganomiya and converted the tomb into a mausoleum. Near the entrance to the Emperor's Mausoleum, there is a monument to a poem written by Prince Shiki.
